Our character trail for January is Perseverance... otherwise known as determination... grit... not giving up.
These awful cold days at the beginning of this month gave me lots of practice at perseverance... breaking ice night & day on the water troughs for the horses.. unscrewing hoses and draining them so pipes wouldn't freeze... getting enough clothes on to feed every morning at 530am before coming to school...
The month of January is like a Wednesday... you're halfway through... dreaming of the weekend... and extra time in bed. But we've got a lot to do to be ready for May. Teachers and assistants are working double time to help kids learn everything they are going to need for their tests. So kids... parents... keep up your routines. Don't let up!
In January, Guidance Connect is concentrating on:
Grades 4 & 5:
